What About the Shoes?
And sometimes, I even need a bit of help from a friend.
Just the other day, after viewing the latest blog posting, my good friend, Jo Val said, "Great job. What about Gabourey Sidibe--all this talk about what she wore to the Oscars. What about her shoes?"
Ah Ha! If you remember, it was only a few weeks ago that a gossip website posted unflattering images of Sidibe's feet--hanging out of her shoe as she walked down the street.
Not a good look. At all.
And photos of Sidibe at an NAACP luncheon showed up all over the Internet. Dress was flattering. Shoes were not.
And with every blog posting by young women such as Cynthia Lundi of Big Gurl Fashion and Gabbi Gregg of Young, Fat and Fabulous, retailers are taking notice and expanding their designs to include those of us who wear sizes 14+!
I'm just wondering when shoe designers will really start to market well made, trendy wide width pumps (with supportive heels!), boots, sandals, even ballet flats for women with wide feet--especially plus sized women with wide feet.
Until then, I'll just keep scouring the Internet for the best buys for all women of all sizes who love looking and feeling from head to toe!
Stay tuned. Another posting will be coming soon!

Color Conundrum: Basic Brown or Boisterous Blue
At the same time, I feel like I need a pair of basic brown pumps—versatile yet sophisticated yet sassy, I can wear them all day.
My problem: I like them both but considering the price--$199.95—buying both is NOT an option. So I’ll leave it up to you!
Which would you choose? Why?
Until next time wide shoe divas!

On Second Thought
And for only $59.99, can you really go wrong?
I know I can't!
And lets not forget that the designers of the Zelman, the Shoe Heaven on a Budget… have some SERIOUS price cuts on their site!
Whether you need a new pair of black pumps or are looking to boost your wardbrode with funky ankle boots or ballet flats, end-of-season sales are the way to go.
Talk to me! What's your shoe sale story? How do you plan on taking advantage of end-of-season sales?

Ditch the Don't Slouch Rule!
Imagine: you wake up one morning and nothing seems to go right. You find a skirt, but you don’t have the right tights.
Finally, after many moments of frustration, you settle on a simple shirt and slip on your dark denim blue skinny jeans.
And then you see the item that will make your outfit look a lot less boring: the suede slouch boots.
The slouch boot has a way of adding a twist to the simplest of outfits. And here's why: slouch boots are different from the rest! They are subtle yet stately and always sexy.
Below are a few heeled slouch boots that I found on Zappos.com that will keep you looking casually chic:
When I saw these two pairs of boots I thought, "subtle, sexy, multipurpose" because they can both take you from day to night!
Pair these up with textured tights, a slim black skirt and a v-neck sweater and you'll be professional enough for the 9 to 5 and cute enough for afterwork drinks!
Sleek and quietly bold, these gray boots will still be a sexy addition to your wardrobe. Winter, spring or fall, these boots will add a subtle edge when worn with skinny jeans or leggings.
Both boots are available in an extra wide width and fit a wide calf!
If you already own a pair of solid slouch boots, why not purchase these? The contrasting shades of gray, stitching on the calf and foldover cuff make these boots the PERFECT to add to your collection.
So which are your favorite? How do you wear slouch boots?
Until next time chicas!
P.S. If you like any of these boots or want to see what else Zappos.comhas to offer, click on the link or images and shop away!

The Bold, The Beautiful, The Blue
But my mind always reminds me of that old lady in church who religiously wears navy blue shoes with a t-strap, chunky heels, and taupe stockings!
This season, shoe companies have come out with some really fabulous shoes in many shades of blue that are making me decide to follow my heart and not my mind!
Here are my top picks:
Add a pop of color to a simple black dress with these stunning blue patent leather pumps. Sleek and sophisticated, the Gabriella Rocha - Averie found on Zappos.com offers a 3 1/2 inch covered heel--a great look for a Saturday evening.
Animal print with a touch of blue? So necessary. The Naughty is a pointy toe flat that is super comfortable and a must-have for any fashionistas wardrobe.
During the winter sometimes I feel just as harsh as the weather. A pair of shoes such as the Romantic Soles - Geneva (Blue Satin) found on Zappos.com reminded me that Spring is just around the corner!
Last but not least, if you have a few dollars to spare (or want to treat yourself to something different and special with that tax return!), try these on for size!
The Stuart Weitzman Women's Madison Platform Pump,Jetblue Quasar, US is also a fantastic pump that can be paired with the simple black dress, and of course jeans!
Whew! I'm exhausted! This was my first "official" blog. Please let me know your thoughts. Was I helpful? Did I write too much?

Your feet are cute! Like cub paws...LOL!!!
Almost 15 years ago, I was a senior in high school and my only care in the world was matching my sneakers with my t-shirts.
Today I'm a teacher from 8:30 to 3:27 and a shoeaholic from 3:28 until I rest my head on my pillow. I love shoes. The ultimate accessory, they can make or break an outfit.
My only problem? My cub paws are stubby and wide, making it just a little bit more difficult to own every shoe I like!
I decided to start this blog for women with wide feet who are not interested in the matronly looks often offered in the C/D/EE widths.
This blog is for those of us who want to see stylish boots--especially with wide calves; sexy pumps, sassy sandals and comfort shoes for work.
This blog is for those of us who love a great handbag to accentuate our shoes, textured tights to show off full calves and eye popping nail colors for the summer.
Lastly, this blog is for those of us who love our feet--cub paws, hammer time toes, clod hoppers--and want to treat them well.
